About Dr. Joseph Evans

Joseph Evans (’69), Ph.D., retired, served as the Director of the Psychology Department at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and the Division Director of Pediatric Psychology in the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics. He was the 2008 recipient of the Cummings American Psychological Foundation Psyche Award, presented for his work in developing a model that integrates behavioral health into rural primary care practices.

Overview

The fall 2023 speaker was Dr. Paige McArdle, Associate Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and Staff Child Psychologist at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Dr. McArdle’s specialty areas include autism spectrum disorders and applied behavior analysis, and her talk focused on a description of her work and her professional journey, as well as lessons learned along the way.
