Jacob Boros is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science for the 2023-24 academic year. He is a graduate of Saint Vincent College with a B.A. in history and politics, and of Baylor University with an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science. He has served as a postdoctoral research fellow with the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, as well as an instructor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University. Jacob has taught in the areas of American political thought and institutions, the history of political philosophy, international relations, and environmental politics. His writing has been published by the Association of Core Texts and Courses and Interpretation: A Journal of Political Philosophy, and he has two book chapters under contract with Lexington Press. At Benedictine, he enjoys teaching and helping his students, participating in the college’s faith and community life, and working on his book manuscript on the 20th-century American conservationist Aldo Leopold.
