Want to join our team?

We are looking for people who have good communication skills and are patient and empathetic. We are especially interested in hiring a variety of majors, from Engineering to Theology, as our peer tutors work with clients on a wide range of assignments, from lab reports to business proposals.

One of the best ways to improve your own skills in reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication is to become a peer writing tutor! As a tutor, you will be trained on how to work most effectively with clients and encouraged to continually develop your own writing and interpersonal skills.

The application process begins in March for the coming academic year. In addition to filling out an application on RavenZone, you will need to submit a writing sample, cover letter, and reference. You will also be interviewed by the writing center director. Prospective applicants are encouraged to enroll in an upper-level writing course either before or during the semester they apply. First preference will be given to these individuals. For more information, please email us here.
