Dig deep and see the young Catholic Church fully alive!

Join Benedictine College Ministry the 1st Saturday of the month for Underground! Remember first-century Christians who dug deep in the catacombs so they could celebrate their faith. Today, Underground does this with contemporary music, dynamic orthodoxy, energetic youth and powerful presentations. Underground welcomes all teens and young adults in the four-state region of Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas (MINK) and provides them with the chance to experience the beauty of the Mass and the teachings of Christ with their peers.

 

Underground consists of:

  • 6 pm Speaker, Presentation, or Concert
  • 7 pm Eucharistic Adoration
  • 7:30 pm Mass in the Dark

 

All Underground events take place at the O’Malley-McAllister Auditorium on the campus of Benedictine College, Student Union, 1020 North Second Street, Atchison, KS 66002. Doors open at 5:30pm and the event begins at 6:00pm.

Faith Opportunities for High School Students

 

Benedictine College Youth Conference

Friday-Sunday, June 21-23

Passionate speakers including Fr. Stan Fortuna, C.F.R, will inspire, ignite and refresh your conviction for Christ and His Church. Join other teens who are passionate about growing and sharing their faith with others, as you engage in a weekend of faith, fellowship, and fun.

Benedictine College CATHEDRAL

1 week (Sunday to Friday), June 16- 21

Benedictine College’s CATHolic EDucation RALly examines the question “What does it mean to build a Catholic culture?” By exploring the Catholic intellectual tradition in literature, theology, philosophy, and the sciences, you will learn to build Cathedrals for Christ.

BENEDICTINE COLLEGE VOICE

1 week (Sunday to Friday), June 16-21

Join other high school students who have a desire to use their musical talents to serve the church. Explore traditions in praise throughout Catholic history as you perfect your skills and grow in leadership through small group ensembles, creating music that will inspire Catholic evangelization.

Set Free Ministry – Retreat Team 
Offers high school, junior high, or Confirmation students powerful day retreats, filled with music, dramas, skits, personal testimonies, talks, and small group discussions. Every retreat stresses the importance of the Sacraments, giving youth the opportunity to receive Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist, and experience Eucharistic Adoration. Our team challenges participants to take ownership of their faith and lead by Catholic example in all things.

One Love

Offers junior high and high school students the opportunity to learn about the importance of chastity from a trained speaker. Presentations are an hour in length and can be followed by group discussion. Students receive talks tailored to their age and needs. One Love is perfect for youth nights or school assemblies!
