Bachelor of Arts, Department of Music

As an institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1946, Benedictine College offers majors leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree and to a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Additional areas of specializations within the Bachelor of Arts in Music program include Liturgical Music and Music Composition. Students have the opportunity to study music through the minor program.

Program Mission

The mission of the Music Program is to guide students to various career options in music and to prepare them for entrance into graduate music study. Graduates of the program will have developed their musicianship and performance skills and acquired a knowledge of music as an art form.
