Alpha Mu Gamma Club

Alpha Mu Gamma is the first and largest national collegiate foreign language honor society of the United States. Alpha Mu Gamma has as its primary purpose the honoring of students for outstanding achievement in foreign language study. Our local Iota Pi chapter at Benedictine College is dedicated to creating, delivering, and participating in activities that foster enlightenment, friendship, and the sympathetic understanding of other peoples, as represented by the Golden Bough on the society’s key.

A candidate for Full Student Membership at Benedictine College shall:

  • Have two final course grades of A or A- in two college level courses of least 3 semester units of the same foreign language taught on the main BC campus (not abroad or through dual credit)
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of B in college level work
  • Pay the life-time membership dues of $25
  • Attend the initiation ceremony (held once per semester)
