Andrew Swafford is professor of theology at Benedictine College. He is the author of Lunatic, Liar, or Lord: Unveiling the Truth of Catholicism with C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity.and coauthor of A Catholic Guide to the Old Testament and A Catholic Guide to the New Testament. With his wife, Sarah Swafford, he is coauthor of Gift and Grit: How Heroic Virtue Can Change Your Life and Relationships. He also coauthored What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith with Marcellino D’Ambrosio.

Swafford holds a doctorate in sacred theology from the University of St. Mary of the Lake and a master’s degree in Old Testament and Semitic languages from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has spoken at numerous conferences, including the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), the National Eucharistic Congress, the Renew Toronto Young Adult Conference, and Defending the Faith Conference in Steubenville, Ohio. He has also been featured on Fox News and Chris Cuomo’s News Nation.

He is a general editor and contributor to Ascension’s Great Adventure Catholic Bible and host of several Ascension’s studies, including Romans: The Gospel of Salvation and Hebrews: The New and Eternal Covenant. An avid student of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, he and his wife live in Atchison, Kansas with their six children.
