Contact Dr. Don Bagert

Dr. Don Bagert grew up in New Orleans, and then spent 20 years in Texas before moving to the Midwest in 2002.  He has being teaching at Benedictine since 2014.  Dr. Bagert has over 45 years of experience teaching computer science to college students, including 14 years at Texas Tech University.  His research interests include various aspects of software engineering.  Don is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) and a senior member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  Don was also a licensed Professional Engineer in software engineering for 14 years in the State of Texas, and is currently inactive.

Dr. Bagert also has a Master of Theological Studies from the Saint Meinrad School of Theology, a Benedictine institution.  He delivers sandwiches for the Hunger Coalition in the summer and during school breaks.  Finally, Don has a wide range of reading interests.

Dr. Bagert is interested in software engineering and computer science ethics and professional issues, software engineering education, and various aspects of software methodology.
