Lynzee Flores teaches courses in strategic communication, public relations, media and society and political communication. She holds a BA in Public Relations, Spanish Languages and Literature and an MA in Strategic Communication from Pittsburg State University. Lynzee is currently finishing her PhD in Political Communication from the University of Kansas. Her dissertation research focuses on how female politicians and First Ladies are portrayed in the popular biopic series “Mrs. America” and “The First Lady” and how these types of entertainment programs influence audience’s political attitudes. Lynzee believes in hands-on learning and has lead a variety of academic excursions such as field-trips to the SPARK KC PR/Advertising student conference and research trips to the 2020 and 2024 Iowa Caucuses. As she continues her career at BC, Lynzee hopes to bring skills and expertise from the communication industry into her classroom to give students a theoretical and practical education supplemented with real-world experiences.
