Admission to the Honors Program

Each year, Benedictine College admits 24 exceptional students to enroll in the Honors Program. These Honors Scholars participate in a challenging curriculum that academically distinguishes them from their peers.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Apply and be accepted for undergraduate admission at Benedictine College.
  2. Demonstrate a minimum high school GPA of a 3.75 and minimum 29 ACT, 1330 SAT, or 94 CLT.
  3. Submit the Honors Program application by December 15, 2018.

Application Process

Write and submit (using the form below) an essay on each of the following questions:

  • Tell us about a piece of literature that you enjoy and believe is important. (750 word max)
  • What academic interest makes you come alive and how have you pursued it up to this point? (750 word max)

Admission and Grant

  1. Consideration is given to students who submit applications by December 15, 2018. Admission decisions will be made by January 15, 2019.
  2. Honors Students will receive a one-time $2,000 grant available after freshman year.
