Dear Friends,
Here we are, releasing our last service-learning newsletter for the semester – for the year – for the decade! Wow!
In this edition, you will read about three service-learning classes that challenge Ravens to meet, help, and learn from individuals whose lives have been, in many ways, quite different from their own. Though this can initially be rather uncomfortable and intimidating, students find support and structure in their class meetings, reflection assignments, and the relationships they start to develop at their community partner. In time, the students come to appreciate the special opportunity these courses provide. I hope you enjoy it!
