CAMPS AND CONFERENCES

Benedictine College is located in Atchison, Kansas on a beautiful 110 acre campus on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River.  Our Conferencing Department offers a “one stop shop” for camps and conferences.  We provide groups the convenience of coordinating their entire event (facilities, equipment, catering, etc.) through a single source.  Our facilities and residence halls are open to the public from approximately the first week in June through the last week of July.

CAMPUS FACILITY AND RECREATIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS

Benedictine College offers a variety of meeting rooms to accommodate large and small groups.  Our campus has the ability to host meetings from seating for 10 to 100, with a larger lecture room seating up to 500. Pricing available upon request.

Recreational facilities include two gymnasiums, racquetball and tennis courts, running track, football, soccer and baseball fields.

Benedictine College has nine residence halls, each with its own personality from community living to private apartment-style living.  All halls are air conditioned and located conveniently to meeting, dining and recreational facilities. The residence halls offer the perfect setting for groups of various sizes.  Whether staying for one evening or several weeks, the halls will offer economical and comfortable lodging for camp and conference attendees      

ELIZABETH HALL

Built in 1893 and renovated in 2001, Elizabeth Hall is named in honor of Elizabeth Ferrell, an college benefactor.  Elizabeth Hall offers large and small two and four person suites. Each suite has twin beds with a private bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette is supplied with a microwave and small refrigerator.  Ferrell can house up to 152 people and has handicap accessible rooms.

ST. MARTIN'S MEMORIAL HALL AND TURNER HALL

Each bedroom has two twin beds, with each floor having a community bathroom.  Memorial has 50 bedroom units that can house 95 guests and Turner has 74 bedrooms to house 142 guests.

MCDONALD HALL

Suite style rooms, each suite has 4 bedrooms (8 beds), two bathrooms and a lounge area.  McDonald houses 159 people.

NEWMAN HALL

During the school year, Newman is home to freshman and sophomore men, housing 133.  Each bedroom has two twin beds with a shared bathroom (two rooms per bathroom).

ROW HOUSES

Built in 2010, the Benedictine Row Houses line Second Street across from the entrance to the college.  Each three-story Row House provides private bedrooms for 4 to 5 people, with the center floor the common living area and kitchen.  The Row Houses can house up to 24 individuals.

ST. SCHOLASTICA HALL

Built in 2005, St. Scholasitca is home to freshmen and sophomore women during the school year.  Each bedroom has two twin beds and every floor has two large community bathrooms on each floor.  St. Scholastica can house up to 142 individuals.

KREMMETER HALL, LEGACY HALL, AND WOLF HALL

Our newest dorms, completed in September, 2008.  The three halls are all apartment units, with a living room, kitchen and private bathroom. Two person and four person units are available and can house up to 192 guests.

DINING SERVICES

Benedictine College’s campus dining service is staffed and operated by Aladdin Campus Dining.  Committed to quality and excellence, Aladdin offers a range of services from refreshments to banquet meals. The catering staff is capable of creating the right menu to make your event an enjoyable experience for all who attend. Full service meals, buffets, picnics, and cookouts are available to compliment any conference or camp event. Our newly-renovated cafeteria will accommodate up to 500 guests and is conveniently located in the center of our campus.

AUDIO/VISUAL EQUIPMENT

Audio-Visual equipment is available to accommodate the needs of conference groups.  We have a selection of meeting rooms that have LCD/Video projectors and internet connections.  Internet accessible, networked computer labs are also available.
