Michael Murphy, '82

Michael Murphy graduated from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics.  He currently serves as President for Murphy-Hoffman Companies (MHC) in Leawood, Kansas.

With 31 years of experience in the trucking industry, Mike currently has operating responsibility for all MHC dealerships and truck leasing locations.  Over the course of his career, he has held various positions within the Company as well as Vice President and General Manager for Colorado Kenworth, Inc.  Additionally, Mike has held positions on numerous supplier committees to the heavy duty trucking industry, formerly acting as the Kenworth National Dealer Council Chairman.  He was also an active member of the PACCAR Parts Dealer Council, the Information Technology Advisory Group, and the American Truck Dealer Association Council.

Mike and his wife Theresa, a graduate from Benedictine College in 1983, currently live in Olathe, Kansas.  They have six children: Bryan, Corey, Kelley, Erin, Kyle and Kristen.  They are parishioners at Price of Peace in Olathe, Kansas. The family continues to remain active in many of the church and school related activities.
