Music – Brass/Percussion Recommended Material
Brass players should audition on their principal instrument only.
Percussionists should audition showcasing the full range of their skills across all performance areas: mallet, un-tuned, and drum set. Equal consideration will be given to those who are skilled in a single, or two of the three performance areas.
Audition repertoire should showcase your performance level at its very best and you at your most comfortable. You should present the following:
- Performances of / excerpts from two contrasting pieces. The pieces should be a Grade 3 or up in level and no longer than 5 minutes each in duration.
- Major Scales.
