Letter from the President

Welcome to Benedictine College’s premier engineering and business program. There are no hidden fees, attached strings, or room for undisciplined egos. If considering application, there are two items to consider: 1) The taxing responsibilities required of the work, and 2) the true sense of pride and ownership over everything related to your niche division when the racecar hits the track in front of fans and competition.

Leadership and great accomplishments demand sacrifice. Do not join this Enterprise if you are looking for a neat shirt or prestigious affiliation. Your motive is only a reward? Walk away now to avoid the misgivings of potential dismissal later. Your motive is to embrace responsibility so as to grow and serve others? Hop on board. If you are an individual motivated and disciplined enough to take on the struggle and risk between real triumph and real failure, see the value in quiet, repeated, and unrecognized efforts, and desire to mount onto the peak of collegiate motorsports in the United States, then I do promise, as the President, to provide the room and resources to prove yourself, feel full ownership and responsibility in the work that you do, and, given your reciprocation, reach the highest in your field both here and abroad.

Our culture is one in which we forge and sharpen each other to be the best we can be. Don’t settle for mediocrity. Push yourselves. Go beyond.
