Health, Wellness and Exercise Science Assistant or Associate Professor

Benedictine College, invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor in Health, Wellness and Exercise Science (HWES) with majors in Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Health Care and Exercise Science.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will serve as a professor in courses associated with, but not limited to, our Strength and Conditioning major. The candidate will also advise and mentor students and provide service to the college and the community. The successful candidate will report to the Department Chair of Health, Wellness and Exercise Science and the Dean of the college.

Salary: Competitive, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess a terminal degree (PhD or Ed.D) in Exercise Science or a related field. Candidates working toward a terminal degree may also be considered. Evidence of quality teaching and active participation in the Exercise Science profession is required. Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in highly preferred. For a tenure track appointment, the candidate must also demonstrate commitment to professional scholarship and the ability to engage and guide students in research.
