Digital storytelling teaches youth to find their creative side learning new media digital technologies skills . Student  create short digital videos using audio, still photography and other media in Benedictine College's state-of-the art Mass Communications lab.​ Participants will learn the fundamentals of digital storytelling through storyboarding, scriptwriting, interviewing, production and post-production techniques.


Dr. Dennis Dunleavy

Associate Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications


Dennis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at Benedictine College. He earned a doctorate at the University of Oregon in Communication and Society. Prior to teaching and research, he was a correspondent and photojournalist for nearly 25 years. At Benedictine he teaches digital photography, video, principles of visual communication and new media.
