William Shakespeare's The Tempest

Come one, come all, to witness William Shakespeare’s The Tempest! Follow the story of the magician and former duke Prospero, who has been exiled on an island with her daughter Miranda for years, as she plots revenge on the sister who usurped her throne. She is aided in her quest by the magical spirit Ariel. At the same time, Prospero must keep at bay the villainous island creature Caliban, who plans to destroy her.  

The show will run through Sunday, 4/25. Shows Wednesday through Saturday begin at 7:30 p.m. with house opening at 6:30 p.m. Sunday show (4/25) will be a matinee starting at 2:30 p.m. with house opening at 1:30 p.m. THERE WILL BE NO SHOWS on Monday 4/19 or Tuesday 4/20.

Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Please email Kathryn Berry OR call the Mabee Theatre Box Office at 913-360-7579 for reservations and tickets. Tickets may be bought at the door, but it is first come, first serve, and reservations are preferred.

Despite the mask mandate being lifted, the safety of our actors is essential for our shows to run smoothly. Therefore, we will require that all audience members wear masks in the theatre, and in the hallway outside of the theatre. There will be no exceptions.
