
LAWRENCE '63 & LINDA KAMINSKY
Larry Kaminsky recently retired as the majority owner of Thomas McGee, L.C., an insurance agency founded in 1910. He has been in the insurance industry since 1966 and was a senior partner in the agency. He has been working with three other partners for the past twenty-five years in their office located in Kansas City, Missouri. Larry is a 1963 graduate of St. Benedict’s College, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics.
He has been very active in the Kansas City professional and non-profit community. He is chairman of the board of KVC Behavioral Healthcare, a past president of the greater Kansas City chapter of the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA), a past board member of IIAA, a member of the board of governors of the American Royal Association, president of the Providence Medical Center Foundation, executive committee member and board member of the St. Martin of Tours League, and member of the board of Catholic Charities, among many others.
Larry and his wife, Linda, have been married for 44 years. They are members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Parish in Shawnee, Kansas. Linda graduated from Mount St. Scholastica High School and is a registered nurse. They have two children, Kristin, who is a graduate of the University of Kansas in nursing, and Matt, a Pittsburgh State University graduate who runs his own insurance company. They are also the proud grandparents of eight.
STEPHEN '77 & PEGGY MCBRIDE
Stephen McBride graduated from Benedictine College in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He went on to earn his Master's degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska in 1978 and later that year, took a job with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Today, he is a Senior Vice President for the Federal Reserve, overseeing the Kansas City bank's human resources, accounting, financial management, facilities and protection functions. He also serves as a member of the Reserve Bank's Management Committee. Previously, he held the position of Senior Vice President and General Auditor for the Reserve Bank. He is a commissioned bank examiner and a Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award Examiner.
In addition to serving Benedictine College with his wife, Peggy, as a co-chair of the 39th Scholarship Ball, Steve is also on the Board of Directors of the college and an adjunct Finance professor teaching Enterprise Risk Management.
The couple are active members of Prince of Peace parish, serving as Eucharistic Ministers. Steve is the Treasurer of his Knights of Columbus chapter. He previously served as the Chairman of the Executive Board for Johnson and Wyandotte County CYO Sports, which provides athletic activities for the youth of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties conducted according to the norms of Christian Sportsmanship. Steve has also served as CYO Athletic Director and coach for basketball and volleyball at Prince of Peach Church.
Steve and Peggy have been married since 1979. Peggy is a Registered nurse currently working for a physician in private practice. They have two children, Benjamin and Kristen, both graduates of Benedictine College. Benjamin earned an MBA in Finance from Avila College and is pursuing a Masters degree in Biology, also at Avila College. Kristen earned a Masters degree in Special Education from Pittsburg State College and is in her 4th year of teaching Special Education. Steve's father attended St. Benedict's College, an aunt is a graduate of Mount St. Scholastica and all five of Steve's siblings graduated from Benedictine College.
