1st Annual Benedictine College Wrestling Fall Clinic a Success

The first annual Raven Fall Wrestling Clinic was a big hit this past weekend on the campus of Benedictine College.  Over 80 participants and coaches attended the one-day event on Saturday, October 22ndin the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. 


Guest clinician Eric Akin, a former collegiate and international wrestling standout, highlighted the event.  The clinic serves as an annual kick-off to the 2011-12 wrestling season at Benedictine College.


“This was a testimony to exactly what the wrestling community needed in northeast Kansas,” said Head Coach Cy Wainwright.  “We had a great group of kids in attendance and we appreciate their support.”


The Ravens will host more youth wrestling clinics in June 2012, with several clinic options to choose from.  Details will soon be posted and available to the public.   Please check back to the Raven Wrestling home page for more details on future youth wrestling opportunities. 


Benedictine College wrestling is gearing up for the Dan Harris Open, its first competition in the history of the program, November 6 at Baker University.
