Lady Ravens Basketball Rebounds with 30-point Win

The Lady Ravens took to the court Monday looking to keep the feeling they left the court with on Saturday from every happening again this season.

BC took control of the game from the opening tip and dictated the final outcome as they defeated Graceland University 89-59.

Up 9-6 with just over five minutes gone off the clock in the first half, the Lady Ravens went on a 16-0 run that extended their lead to 25-9. Graceland closed to within eight points minutes later but BC controlled the game on offense and defense to take a commanding 21-point lead into the half, 47-26.

In the second half, Graceland cut the Lady Ravens' lead to 15 points twice before BC went on another 16-0 run to extend their lead to 30 points.

From that point on, the Lady Ravens never looked back as their lead remained at at least 29 points the rest of the game.

Four Lady Ravens scored in double figures led by the 18-point effort of forward Amber Marsden (Soph., Highmore, SD). Guard Angeline Finazzo (Jr., Kansas City, Mo.) added 15 points while forward Courtney Edmonds (Jr., McLouth) chipped in with 13 points.

Forward Melinda Morrison (Soph., Atchison) added 12 points to add to the Lady Ravens bench scoring that dominated Graceland's effort 61-24.

Graceland was paced by Kristen Osborn's 18-point effort.

The Lady Ravens, now 13-4 overall and 5-3 in the HAAC, return to the court at 5:30 p.m. Thursday when they host Lindenwood University.
