Katie Ricklefs named HAAC Softball Player of the Week
Freshman infielder hit .370 on the week with a three home run game against Evangel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time since early in the season, a member of the Raven softball team was named a weekly award winner by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
For her efforts at the plate over the Ravens eight-game week last week, infielder Katie Ricklefs (Fr., Topeka) was named the HAAC Player of the Week.
Ricklefs capped of a week in which she hit .370 with a slugging percentage of .704 with walk-off two-run home run in game one against Evangel University on Sunday.
Katie accounted for seven of Benedictine's eight runs in the 8-7, 10-inning game one win hitting three multi-run home runs.
On the week, she had a total of 10 hits while driving in 10 runs. Defensively, she recorded 42 putouts and 15 assists in 60 chances between playing second base and first base.
On the season, she is hitting .348 with 32 hits. She has five doubles, a triple and five home runs while driving in 27 runs.
The Ravens wrap up the season on Saturday with a conference doubleheader in Lamoni, Iowa, against Graceland University. They currently sit in sixth place in the HAAC standings with the top eight teams earning a berth into the 2013 HAAC Softball Championship Tournament held in Kansas City, Mo., the first week of May.
