Hot bats ignite HAAC sweep

The Ravens pounded out 33 hits in the doubleheader vs Midamerica Nazerene, leading BC to the conference sweep. 


BC won the first of two 10-1, behind the 3-hit pitching performance of freshman RHP Carl Schaefer. Third baseman Marty Campbell added two home runs (9), While senior LF Brant Ansley and junior RF Mark Crompton also homered.

In the nightcap, freshman 2B Jose Santiago went 4 for 5 at the plate, while sophomore LF Nick Neneman hit his first homerun of the season, sparking the Ravens to a 19-11victory. Sophomore southpaw Anthony Nelson worked three solid inings in relief.

The Ravens now stand 20-6 on the year, and 8-0 in the HAAC.
