Andre Finner, 6' 1" senior forward, from Alhambra High School in Phoenix, Arizona, has signed a national letter of intent with the Benedictine College Ravens.

Andre is an all-state honorable mention player as the leading scorer in the Southwest Region. Finner will join five former Arizona high school standouts, 5th year 6'4" senior forward Patrick McGowan (Paradise Valley HS); 6'9" senior center, Mike Carrington (Sunnyslope HS); 6'6" red-shirt freshman forward Will Swartz (Moon Valley HS); 6'3" sophomore guard Jeremy Tilton (Flowing Wells HS); and 5'10" sophomore guard Harry Rameriz  (Yuma HS).

Andre becomes the first Arizona senior to sign this recruiting period. Andre joins Ronnie Tyson, 6'3" guard, from San Diego in the 2003 recruiting class.

The Ravens are planning to add to the 2003 recruiting class. Campus visits and discussions with high school seniors from Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri are still taking place.

The Benedictine College coaching staff is excited to have Andre join the program. He becomes the sixth AZ all-state player in five years to make the Arizona-Kansas connection. Head Coach Joe Brickner, stated, "Andre is very athletic and sees the court well." Assistant Coach VanDyke, Western United States Recruiter for Benedictine College says, "Andre is the most natural shot blocker I have seen in Arizona."

Benedictine College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Atchison, Kansas. The College is a member of the National Association Intercollegiate Athletics (N.A.I.A.) and Heart of America Athletic Conference (H.A.A.C.).
