A Message from
President Stephen D. Minnis ’82

It really is remarkable to consider all the generous people who have brought the blessings of Benedictine College to so many people for more than 150 years.

Those of you who are alumni are among the people who made this college what it is by showing the generations that follow what it means to be a Raven. Your financial contribution is just one of the many gifts you have given us.

But all of the benefactors in this report, whether friends of the college or alumni, are united by our powerful mission. You have brought unprecedented success to the college in every area of our mission.

Community — This year we moved in our largest student body ever, and provided them with the great new Murphy Recreation Center.

Faith — Our new Raven Memorial Park keeps the memory always before our eyes of those Ravens who died while they were students here. In the center, a new beautiful statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is enthroned — added to our campus this year along with the statue of Mother Teresa at the Mother Teresa Nursing Center.

Scholarship — This year, Benedictine College was gratified to reach the top 15 in our U.S. News category of America’s best Catholic colleges. And great new things are coming: Our new architecture major debuted this year, and we broke ground on an impressive new Science and Engineering building as part of our Century of Science.

I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for the college!

It’s a Great Time to Be a Raven,

Stephen D. Minnis
