ETIQUETTE DINNER IN KANSAS CITY ($15 PER PERSON)
Maybe your Mom or Dad already taught you… Or maybe you need a refresher. Whatever the case, knowing how to display the proper etiquette at meals will always help you put your best foot forward when meeting with customers, potential business partners, employees, or whenever you are networking. Pre-registration is necessary, so please contact the BC Career Development office to sign-up.

CRAY LECTURE AT O'MALLEY-MCALLISTER AUDITORIUM - DON LANDOLL

From the mere beginning of a three-man shop, to today's 500 plus employee base servicing customers world-wide with diverse products, his entrepreneurial spirit has allowed Landoll Corporation to remain steady and strong. Join us as he presents this year’s Fall Cray Lecture.

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURIAL CHALLENGE
Join us at Holy Grounds to sip coffee and compete against others for a late night social challenge. Participants will be presented with a hypothetical social problem for which they must find a presentable solution. Teams will present the following day at 11AM and the winner will receive a substantial cash prize to keep or give to a charity of their choice. Hot coffee and teamwork! Why not?

LADIES' NIGHT WITH MARY CAROL GARRITY AND SUSIE SCHAEFER HINDS AT NELL HILLS

Ladies, you have the special opportunity to spend time with two of the most successful female entrepreneurs in the Midwest, Mary Carol Garrity and Susie Schaefer Hinds. Owner of 3 stores in Atchison, including Nell Hills, Carol has made appearances from the Today Show, to the New York Times, to Forbes magazine and is praised by national media for her charming taste and expertise in home décor. Alongside her is Hinds, founder of her own home décor establishment, The Schaefer House, and winner of the 2008 Women of Achievement Award. CELEBRATE NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK, USA
In conjunction with the Kauffman foundation and colleges across the country, we will be celebrating and increasing the awareness of entrepreneurship throughout the week. Students will be invited to join us in a few events that Benedictine College and the Cray Center will hold this week. Whether it’s the E-challenge contest, the Social Entrepreneurial challenge, or joining something on campus, there are lots of ways students can “jump in.”

BC E-CHALLENGE CONTEST
Who will be this year’s winner in our Entrepreneurship class? Dr. Bunch has created a small-scale, real-life entrepreneurial opportunity for every student in his Intro to Entrepreneurship class. Starting with minimal investments of just $10 per student, see what venture creates the most value in just a few short months. The Cray Center will give awards in several different categories. Who knows, maybe tomorrow’s most successful business will begin right here!

SPRING CRAY LECTURE BY SUSIE SCHAEFER HINDS AT THE HAVERTY CENTER
From BC to hometown success, Susie Schaefer Hinds is a 2008 Woman of Achievement Award winner who utilized her experience from Benedictine and Nell Hills to start The Schaefer House, a successful home furnishings store in Jefferson City. Her personal experiences in entrepreneurship will enable her to provide an insightful message for all who attend.

THIRD ANNUAL "WHATS THE BIG IDEA" COMPETITION AT BENEDICTINE
Who doesn’t like good competition? Get a team together now and come up with the greatest business idea you can. Your group will board the famous Atchison Trolley at one end of campus. Then you will have one lap around campus (less than 4 minutes) to pitch your idea to a small group consisting of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and angel investors. Everyone will get a great ride, but the winners will receive a cash prize to help fund your business. Start thinking now!
