GRADUATE & PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS
Learn about the application process with a free "Graduate School Application Guide". Take time to explore various programs before applying and familiarize yourself with each program's admission criteria. Pay close attention to the school's accreditation, faculty members' credentials, graduate placement and state licensing or certification laws.

Consider the type of program most compatible with your career goals. Are you wanting to have an emphasis on research, practical experience or equally balance both in your curriculum? What type of student/faculty ratio do you hope to have? What types of research and teaching assistantships are available?

To help answer some of these questions, refer to Peterson's Profiles of Graduate Programs and other sources of information in the Career Library. Talk with your professors, academic advisor and professionals working in the field for their recommendations of programs.

Visit Career Development to learn more about the application process and plan a timeline. Register to take the required standardized tests at least by November in order to allow time for retesting if necessary. Assistance with writing your statement of interest (or personal statement), curriculum vitae, and interviewing is also available.

TESTING
The Miller Analogy Test (MAT) is given once yearly depending upon the needs of the Education Department.  If you are not a student at Benedictine College, but wish to take the MAT, please call Career Development for the date and time that the test will be administered.
