Raven Hall of Fame Class of 2010 Announced
Three Former Soccer Players Highlight Class

Benedictine President Stephen D. Minnis has announced the newest Raven Hall of Fame Class.

John Casey ’74 (posthumously), Tom Gorczyca ’77 and Greg Vitello ’68 will have their names added to a list of Raven greats on Oct. 16 during a ceremony in their honor the Saturday of Homecoming in the cafeteria. Minnis said:

That weekend Benedictine will also be celebrating the 50th year of Raven Soccer and it is fitting that the Raven Class of 2010 all made their mark on the soccer field.

John Casey, who recently passed away, was a successful coach and player for the Ravens. Tom Gorczyca still holds several Raven records and has been an instrumental member of the Benedictine Raven Soccer Boosters. Greg Vitello was a standout soccer goalie and baseball player and went on to have a very successful coaching career at Desmet High School in St. Louis.
